The Centre for development of the South-East planning region on 11.01.2017 in the Business Hall in Hotel "Sirius" in Strumica at 11:00 p.m. held its Final Press Conference for the project "Think Composting – Dedication to the organic full circle".
The Final Press Conference was held to inform the public for the realized project activities and the prepared "Study for analysis of composting potentials in domestic conditions in the South-East planning region".
The project "Think Composting - Dedication to the organic full circle" has been implemented for 15 months with the main focus on raising public awareness among the citizens on the composting benefits to protect the environment.
With the implementation of this project, in the South-East planning region, 400 households received composters, and the citizens who received composters were introduced to the composting process through the organized Info days in each municipality, as well as the Manuals for composting that were given. A video for the project and the composting was created and aired on regional television stations in order to raise public awareness and promote the benefits that people and the environment will receive with composting.
During the Final press conference, the Head of the Center for Development of the South-East Planning Region, Ms. Julieta Gjurkova briefly presented the achieved results of the project, the activities that were implemented and "Study for analysis of composting potentials in domestic conditions in the South-East planning region".
In continuation of the event followed up questions and discussions with the attendees about the shared information for the project.
